This was posted previously by a member but I never saw a fix. I have the same problem. My MF 40 Industrial tractor will steer most of the time with the front wheels "Off the ground" When lowered to the ground, you can only turn them a short distance and the steering wheel will then just keep spinning to the right or left with no further movement of the front wheels. With wheels down and driving the tractor, you can turn the steering wheel R-L and achieve some steering which will continue to work sometimes as long as you keep the steering wheel moving R-L?? I have replaced the power steering pump, fluid and spindle bearings I have filled the system with fluid per the instruction manual. UNLESS it just takes forever to bleed the air out of the system, I am out of probable solutions. Can anyone help?
