I needed to use a ladder rack, my BIL had one and he said sure. Got there and it would not fit my chevy, so he said let's put it on my ford and leave your truck.
I went and picked up my vinyl siding, applied the brakes and popped a rusty old brake line. I spent the day under his truck replacing the lines, bleeding brakes,etc.
I returned the truck and told him what happened. Did he come up with cash to cover my expense? Did he say Oh that sucks? No he said "You must have really hammered those brakes to make a line pop"
He did manage to burn 3/4 of a tank in my truck though.
