I have 2 neighbors that I'll lend tools to both are very careful with the tools and usually give something they borrowed back promptly and in as good or better condition than when I lent it to them,but that's about it and never ever lend anything to my relatives.I don't lend welders or chain saws to anyone. My dad hated to so no to someone that wanted to borrow something had another neighbor that kept borrowing his hay rake and abused it.I did most of the raking anyway when I finished each time I'd pull the shaft off between the drive and the gearbox and keep it in my truck.Dad didn't have to say no after I started doing that(LOL)
