Might be a good level ground truck, but in my neck of the woods it would be very under powered. We have a few roll backs and light duty trucks around with 7.3 engines.Nobody braggs on them. I had a F-800 with a 5.9 Cummins and a 6 speed and it was very under powered. A two speed rear axle will perk it up a lot. Knowing the differental ratio would also be a big help. It may be geared high and won't pull or it may be geared low and have a maximum speed of 50 MPH. Personally I would never own a Medium Duty truck that didn't have a 5 and 2. You can't imagine how good it is to have 2 reverse speeds when you are backing up and dumping.

Once started it putted along pretty good. It
