Here is a question that has perplexed me for a very long time:
HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU DON'T WANT TO READ IT UNLESS YOU READ IT???
So many say, "If you don't want to read it, don't read it," as the solution to OT posts. That's all well and good if the poster adheres to the convention of putting OT in the subject header and/or comes up with a well-written descriptive subject.
90% of the time the subject is misleading or non-descriptive (i.e. "HELP"), so you don't know what's in the post until you read it. By then it is too late. You can't un-read something and get your time back. I can see why this frustrates people.
Of course having a separate forum for it is not the solution. If someone can't follow the simple conventions of putting OT in the subject and coming up with a descriptive subject, what makes you think that they will put it in the right forum?
