Maybe Most of us, come here to tractor talk to catch up on ALL the Happenings ,..Yes there is a crowd here and a post is likely to get buried VERY quik ,.. but in all honesty i like it better that way , kinda like having my tools all lumpt together in the same box , i can find anything i need in there if i look long enuf , for any situation the devil chooses to dump on me ,. i certainly understand those of you that are more advanced intelectually and have learned long ago a orderly life prevents chaos and lost time and effort ,frustration is short circuited for those on the inside track of full production.. And would Rather not be tempted by some of the wholesome barnyard dung posts that many of us do enjoy , that really should be in tractor tales ,but are posted under tractor talk . , perhaps we should ALL ask ourselves where the appropriate place is to post ,. but there is always gonna be someone who did 'nt read the memo , or a a wise guy out there that did not care to , ,. .. Therefore one would like to give this forum a shot in the arm to encourage such conduct ,.. personally i could take it or leave and i shall remain uncommitted ../
if i have a urgent question deserving a answer i go to tractor talk i usually get the correct response after sifting thru the wrong ones and.sometimes a kid frem grade school mite give asnotnose remark ,all i take in stride as , such is our life .,.even the responses from wayout left field have some value to consider whena problem is so confusing out of the box thinking , just mite have a sliver of a idea that deserves merit and thought .

when i do need a CORRECT and more Precise answer ,, such as , paint work ,crop talk.,implement alley , combines and harvestors ., or a specific brand and model question i will post on the forum specific ,.. if after a couple days, there is limited, troubled or No Response,.. And That happens to me often than i want to admit ,. then i will post the question in TRACTOR TALK,..

One suggestion ,if it were possible , the number of recent pages held in retention for TRACTOR TALK were doubled , then a week old or more of chatter could easily be pulled up ,./ .... I Know the archives are supposed to be able to help find and review these topics ,. not sure what changed or when ,, but for Me , it used to be easier and the info was more complete,. ////
in The Forums defense,. With all the chatter captured since the forums inception some 20 yrs ago ,. there has got to be a extremely large database somewhere to store all this data ? .God Forbid , but .sooner or later the question will come to purge to free up space. but what do i know ,. i am just a dum farm boy with a hi school education that shortcuts words so i dont wear my pecker finger out typin ,.. LOL

Today's Featured Article - The Rescue of a Fordson F - by Anthony West. Introduction I live in the UK and have for many years restored Fordson tractors (in the main model N's). I have also restored and shown model F's, E 27N's, Field Marshall Series 2, David Brown Cropmasters and the old rey Fergeson T 20. At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p ... [Read Article]
