I do all my service work, but on my company vehicle I am required to take it in for service and that includes oil changes. The local place that changes the oil will not let me leave with out verifying the oil is full. Yes, they pull the dip stick out and show it to you. They are covering their butts.
I am for sure they were burned a time or two because of human error. Live and learn and understand that no one is perfect; that includes you and me.
