We HAD Verizon; signed with them via Radio Shack. Welp, Verizon built a new tower right off I-35 (Iowa) about a mile from our place and every time someone using Verizon passed that tower, we were booted off. Their solution? Gave me their engineers office number in Olathe, Kansas. I gave them our last bill, refusing in the store to pay it and got threatening and LOUD. You see, every time we got kicked off, we were automatically charged for a 'connection' that didn't go through. Manager went into the back room and when he came back, claimed he was 'authorized' to pay my bill IF I dropped Verizon. Have had U.S. Cellular for over 15 years now and the only place we didn't have service was in the Mountains of Colorado. We run down to Northwest Arkansas yearly (family) and have never had a problem. Verizon would have us on 'Roam' if we went as far as Omaha.
