Yeh...my old big-screen TV I had owned for years and years died in a blaze of glory about a year ago. I had got up early one morning and turned on the TV to watch the news and weather(like 5:00am)...was storming outside rain lightning thunder.
I was out on the back patio having a smoke and waiting for my coffee pot to do it's thing...just watching a spectacular early morning thunder storm. The BLAMMO!!! Sounded like lightning hit the house or darn close...scared me bad! Almost loaded my britches....went back in the house and my old faithful big screen was dead...think the lightning actually maybe hit the power pole across the road but it killed my TV....
All good...I went to Wal Mart and got a new 55" flat-screen that was on sale
