In the event you have to do the same again, and can park it closer to the woods, I would aim a trail cam at it. If it were me, I would probably leave it there again, just to get pictures of the vandals. Idiots will be back when they see you fixed it so fast. Trail cams have come a long way. The ones I have now have black flash technology. In the pitch dark I can walk past my camera and absolutely nothing is visible, yet my picture has been taken and it's very clear. They are also more affordable than they used to be. Nothing like being able to show the police a picture of the vandals.
