There are a lot of better balers for $1000. I sold my Vermeer Super F in good working condition for $500 a few years ago. Before that we baled for years with a 560 MF (605C Vermeer). Case 3650/8480 soft center balers don't bring a lot and make a pretty good bale if you pack the hay in to make a firm outer shell. I would avoid a jd 500 or 510.
