I finally got around to fixing our brush cutter, I was having problems with the blade holder pan striking stumps or rocks and bending up against the underframe, then I would have to straighten it with a pipe wrench before continuing. I got it all apart fairly easy and pounded it back into shape, then welded gussets into the top of the pan. Then I checked it for balance and it was off a little, so I drilled and extra hole to correct that. I have the slip clutch set a little on the loose side now, maybe that along with the gussets will prevent further damage. I am very disappointed with Bush Hog for selling a cutter with an oval blade holder pan. The cheap King Kutter that we had before was better designed!
