You need more time... Things I'd do- ride the Cumbres and Toltec RR in Chama NM or Antonito CO. 64 miles through really remote country. Then either west through Pagosa Springs to the San Juans, or north along the Sangre de Christos to Pikes Peak, or Royal Gorge, or Breckenridge area. Then to Denver or Glacier Park.
Have fun, but don't just drive to the mountains and back... make it count. 20 years from now, you won't remember the extra days you worked.
