I started with a CPAP machine. I had 97 occurences an hour. They figured I slept about two hours and 10 minutes a night. The CPAP worked a while but I was having problems. I had another sleep study and they put me in the BIPAP machine. It has worked great for 3 years. I am having trouble sleeping again. They maxed the pressure out in the machine and I am at 25 psi. You can dry your hair with the pressure of this machine. I am still struggling taking off the mask and not sleeping well. I am going to have another sleep test next week. They have come out with a new machine and they said they would probably put me in that one.
My experience try different masks. The pillow type under the nose are great if your pressure isn't very high. Keeping trying to use it. You will finally get used to it. It could save your life.
