Love the Gator Guy, Ron Short. Does great work, reasonable prices, good advice. If you rebuild it yourself, make certain you have the diesel weights, if you need to replace the weights. Diesels spin slower, so they need the heavier weights to make them function. I have taken gas Gator clutches and replaced the weights with diesel weights with good results. You will need special tools to disassemble which only JD will have.
I know a lot of guys here don't care for the Gators but I love my diesel and will repair it until I no longer can get parts and then I may machine them.
