Just had the same thing happen on an F150 I bought. Did the front brakes and a piston was cracked similar to yours. Fluid wasn't leaking even when I pushed it back. Well, first time I tested it with the new pads, fluid all over the driveway. Put new calipers, rotors, hoses all around. Into it for about $575. Funny but in all of my years changing brakes on GM or Chrysler vehicles, I've never had that happen. Not bashing Ford, just saying.
