Thought I had rogued my last bean field 25+ years ago. When I got out of that business, Roundup was just starting to show up on scene.
Fast forward to this week. I have a career in a non-agricultural field but still work part-time on the farm on my days off.
I find myself in the bean fields again. This time, the enemy is palmer amaranth. Back in the day, we would've just called it "pigweed". Rarely see a cocklebur anymore, those were the biggies back in the day. My part-time boss is not the only one that's doing it, either; saw several other crews out cutting weeds.
Sorry not specifically tractor related, just observing how the past sometimes repeats itself.
