With regard to the ND hay shortage; what are hay prices there, if you can find it? I Googled it and saw $95 per ton for good alfalfa. Is this accurate?
For comparison, alfalfa in my part of CA is over $200 a ton and as high as $240. While I certainly do not laugh at people's difficulties, I do chuckle as to what folks sometimes consider expensive.
Other prices, pump and drill services are $95-$110 an hour during the week, electricians are in the same ball park. Horse shoeing is $150 on average. I never see anyone under $100. Trims average $50. Auto mechanics are $140.
