I need to replace the touch control mounted temp gauge on my 52 Super A. I see they go for right around $70. I can get one for a Case (still has IH printed on the dial) for about $30. I can get a LIGHTED one for a Ford Jubilee for $20. Both have a metal casing to wrap wire. I can make the bracket that holds the gauge to look much like the original. My question is: are the probes/fitting all the same? I have not taken mine out of the tractor's block yet. The new ones look to have about 1 - 1.5 inch long probe and a 3/8' fitting. Wires are 33" longs. I also need to purchase two touch control stops. I see they are $13 each. the tabs are broken on two of mine. It does not look they can be welded. (Haven't checked, but they look to be a different kind of metal, maybe even cast).
Any help, thoughts, comments are is always appreciated
