only if you have very sandy, loose soil, the problem is not power you have plenty, the problem is ground speed, the tiller needs 540 rpm input, so the Sherman slowing that down in low range doesnt allow proper tiller tine speed, it takes about 1/2 mile per hour ground speed to properly bust up the ground and make a nice bed, the naa 1 gear is like 1 1/2 mile per hour, its simply too fast, they made a rare and very fragile Howard after transmission tiller transmission for rototiller applications, if you can find one today in working condition, prepare to pay a lot for it, [ good luck even finding one] if you cant till with plow disc and harrow, its best to just rent a nice new tractor at the rent place for seasonal tilling which has the slow speed with the 540 rpm pto speed
