Dad had a sheet metal machine shop at the time. He "fixed" the original deck a couple of times, then built a deck from scratch! Used all stainless steel. *lol*
It was an OK little machine, especially as we only had a push mower before that, and I was the only operator! So he got the little Speedex, the belly mower and a pull-behind disc. We had a couple of gardens. Then he got tired of fighting with the thing and bought the Pasquali tractor. I LOVED IT!! He didn't. I could make that thing do everything 'cept sit up and yodel! *lol* Can't say I ever missed the Speedex.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
