The David Brown 850 was fitted with DB 4 cylinder diesel engines as standard. DB exported some to Oliver who sold it as the Oliver 500. But DB 850's & Oliver 500's were also available with the gasoline engine which had originally been fitted in the earlier model David Brown Cropmaster.
