I guess you missed my point George. IME, whenever there is an increased patrol presence, the perpetually indignant will invariably be on the phone complaining to their politicians about what a waste of time it is, that the cops must have something better to do, how much it costs, the police state, etc, etc. Having picked up pieces (literally) of people from accidents for many years, I understand exactly what you're saying. I'm just giving you the other sides response. They're used to driving at for instance, 75-80mph to get to work every day. They don't see the problem, just the inconvenience of having to drive 60-65mph because the cops are trying to save lives.
