You are more than likely not going to hurt anything on a cub. I only say that because of it being older and the lack of electrical stuff on it. But I would disconnect at least one battery terminal to be on the safe side. No more trouble than its going to be, no sense in not disconnecting it. All this newer stuff, I would always disconnect before welding. Especially anything that has brain boxes or computer stuff on it.
