Deere 2510-4020 Syncro-Range was easy to shift and syncronized between forward and reverse gears. The 30 series added the Perma-Clutch oil clutch.
IH 74 series utility tractors were syncronized?
Deere utility tractors were not syncronized but were easy to shift and reverse was faster than forward in each gear. A power reverser was available but more trouble prone.
Case 70 series power shift was power shift between 3-2-1-R in four ranges. That might be handy under a loader but for me the clutch could be "jumpy" when inching.
By the 1970's most utility tractors were designed for loader work.
