I'm with Pete Black on this one. There is extremely little to choose from here as well, and we have both Polaris and Arctic Cat manufacturing plants in the area. When we were in Arkansas, we saw quite many down there that seemed like exactly what you were looking for, but far less than the Chinese units. They were being sold by dealers and had been gone over (check the reputation of each dealer before buying!). I was kinda looking in the 400cc range, and preferred Honda. If I had acted, could have gotten a matching set for about $2,000 total.
It's the same when buying used vehicles - some people take care of what they have, while others don't. Maybe someone living down south can keep their eyes open for you? Or maybe contact a reputable dealer and have them track down what you're looking for.
