Do you have access to any of the unit's original posts? If so, would be a great help if you could post some detailed photos and dimensions.
A brief web search shows that the product was discontinued some time before 2004, which would make this a pretty old unit. There's one place that claims to fix stair lifts:

Considering what this is for, I'm hesitant to say that there's anyone out there who might be willing to fabricate replacement posts due to the potential of something going wrong (even if totally unrelated!) and then being in a world full of hurt because they were the easy scapegoat. However, there might be "someone" out there willing to help. But your best bet would be to buy a used-but-complete unit in the $1,000 range - something that would take liability off of everyone involved other than the seller and the installer.
