I have a 2016 1500 Silverado with the 5.3 engine. It very easily handles a 20' aluminum trailer with a dead F-150 crew cab on the back. No lack of power at all. I am an old Ford man but some of the newer Ford engines scare me. (Note dead F150 behind my Chevy.) I now have two Chevy 1500s and I am very happy with both of them. I am not going back to Ford any time soon. I still have the Ford 350 Super Duty 7.3 that is my heavy hauler.
