The Autolite / Motor Craft carb.'s will do the same thing as OH guess what they have a power valve and a Accelerator pump just like the Holley . Plus there is day and night difference between a TRUCK engine and a PICK UP engine . Jetting power valve and CFM . He could have a 330 Med duty , could be a 330 heavy duty , could be a 360 med duty or might be a 360 Hd. could be a 389 or a 390 or how's about 391 or it could be a 379 . Myself i don't know as i have not seen the truck or engine . One thing i do know is Ford Mo Par and I H . Around here when someone has a carb problem it end's up here
