A few things.
1 - if hard disk drive gets to full PC will slow down. Move files you want to keep to external drive then delete and empty recycle bin.
2 - as already been said defrag the drive.
3 - Uninstall any apps that you never use.
4 - Not related to speed. A good way to organize your files is to create a folder under the C-Drive (example: Farm Files) and store everything in folders under the base one. This gives you only one folder to have to backup to save all your important data. Backups are important. I have been in the Info Tech field for over 25 years and seen a lot of data lost due to people not backing up. Protect your data it is more valuable than you think.
