This is the name of a folder of photos I recently shared on YT:
2017.06.16 - On the way back from town, After that, I would have my individual photos sorted according to type of tractor or some event (tractor show, vacation, etc), or if only a few pics, I might just be lazy and not rename the files at all. ...And I "AM" lazy a lot, especially when it comes to pics!
I like having the date first, as that's how I best remember how to find things. Some people remember events better than dates. And some people remember individual items best; such as having a folder for John Deere, then having sub-folders John Deere A, John Deere B, etc. Then inside each folder are the photos. In my John Deere example, I probably wouldn't have any JD photos in with the sub-folders as all I'm doing here is organizing. Anyway, then comes the photos. Now you could organize your photos in each sub-folder as you choose; either by subject, date, or whatever helps you remember best.
Remember, how yo organize is a very personal thing, and varies from one person to the next. We can offer suggestions about how we do things, but ultimately, you have to figure out for yourself what method of categorizing works best for you.
