No tractor photos. WWII, and his lifelong job at the electric company as a lineman. He started there at age 16 in 1934 and worked there until he died in 1983. Only time "off" was his stint in the Army from 42-46. He told me that early on at the power company - they would just send him out to put up new lines and poles with hardly any help. He had to hire temporary locals. Also, power was turned off for most residents at 6 PM and came back on early in the morning. If you wanted power at night you had to call the power-company and pay extra for it, because it meant someone had to stay at the plant to keep it going. Hard to imagine now.
