My tractors have personalities. I have a 1950 M farmall, looks really rough. It burns some oil, probably through the valve guides, 2 different sized rear tires, rusty, in short it looks like he11. I have a Farmall H too. Looks pretty good, newer tires, good paint, runs like a top. The difference is the M will start each and every time (except this morning when the starter fried) the H will start every time you don't need it to. If I need to move snow it won't start, if it is parked in the way it won't start, this morning I needed it to move my generator because the starter went out of my M, it wouldn't start. However if I went to it on some day and decided to see why it won't start it would start. Also have a B that I mow with and is hand start only because batteries don't last long, that one starts perfect when it's cold every time.
