Thanks for the reply Ben. I have just figured it out. A sleeve inside the cap unscrews and this allows you to compress the springs, insert the 3 balls (with grease), and slip the sleeve over them. Then you screw the sleeve back in the cap (being careful to keep the springs and balls in the sleeve as you do it.)....I hope/ guess. Maybe you are supposed to put some thread locker on the sleeve, I did not. I couldn't find this information anywhere on the web, but maybe I wasn't asking the right question. I hope this helps somebody else out there.
