Baled up one field at a neighbors tonight, had a coworker take a wagon load for their organic farmette, rest is on the trailer in the barn. I was going to sell 1000 squares of 2016 crop to the horse lady across the street, but our high school neighbor boy has fallen through with his promise to get the transfer done. He and a buddy moved 100 bales and never showed back up. Hard to ride him much when he uses studying for finals as an excuse, especially when he is not my kid.
I mowed the five acres in front of the house on Monday, was by far the thickest crop I have ever mowed. Really glad I upgraded the mowing tractor this year. With dry, sunny weather, most of it will be ready tomorrow after work. Some may still be damp, and we now have a chance of rain tomorrow night. We need the rain. That leaves me with about ten more acres to go. Might not even put fertilizer out, since I have so much hay already. Need to look into round bales soon, these boys won't be able to help for much longer.
