Copying and reselling operating systems is pirating, much akin to pirating a DVD that you bought or rented. these are called intellectual property laws, you would be essentially illegally stealing this property. I have a friend that works for a JD dealership whose job is to advise and train purchasers of new JD equipment on use of sophisticated computer equipment of those tractors and drills. He said there is no laws that he is aware of that precludes a new owner from doing his own repairs or uses of that equipment, unless they do something that is against the warrantee. But is that not how most every warrantee is written?
