About 20 years ago my back was so bad I couldn't sleep, would get up in the middle of the night and take the dogs for a walk, walking felt better. I went to a doctor and he said nothing showed on the x-ray but he gave me a book "Treat Your Own Back" by Robin McKenzie. Between doing the exercises in the book and going to a very good Chiropractor I was better in 6 months. I kept up the exercises for quite a while but now only do them if I start to feel the need. I went to the Chiropractor last fall for one visit after several years. I was going about once a year before that when I couldn't get it straight by myself. The chiropractor doesn't crack my back, he has a little impact device that you hardly feel and somehow that realigns your back without the twisting and cracking. Works for me!
