As a member of the American Legion, a non-combat veteran, I placed the flags on the graves our post cares for and participated yesterday as part of the honor guard firing over the graves. After reading posts about Memorial Day and the meaning, I respect both sides. Please! let us honor those each in our own way and join in remenbering we should be thankful we are free to honor those and are free to our own opinions. Let us just come together, render our honors and be thankful we are Americans.....
