I think the real question is why does it cost 2 to 3 times as much to make the Nike or whatever product in America.
Because the American workforce has priced itself out of a global market.
The American workforce blames the CEO for getting his millions. But take a look in the mirror before you cast all those stones. Back when this country was strong in manufacturing a family had 1 car; a small house; and if you went on 1 vacation a year you were rich. Today we need all the bells and whistles and a job that pays enough to cover the cost. No way the American workforce can compete on a global scale while building 3000 sq ft houses with 3 car garages with a boat and camper on a storage lot because you have more stuff than will even fit on your property and taking 3 vacations a year.
