I got the 861 I was working on this winter delivered today. The grandson of the original owner hired me get it running again, his father was overjoyed to see it. The father is in his early 80s, and reminisced about using the tractor all his life. I put way more hours in it than I billed, but was worth it to see his smile. I am thinking he was not sure he would see it run again, glad that was not true.
Thanks for all the advice I got here.
I will get it back next winter to rebuild the lift, but that is good enough for the summer.
