This post reminds me that I've got to get the brush hog out on some parts of my property that are a little low, basically depressions in an otherwise flat field. I went around them last fall but I saw this spring that the vegetation is sprouting pretty good due to all the wet weather up here in Michigan. There's probably 3-4" of standing water at the deepest point and they're about 50 ft across. They usually dry up by mid-June but I'm afraid to wait that long. I try and keep them cut low to avoid some gubment official sticking his nose in there.
