I would wager that the lift pump is starting to fail.... those things have an electric pump on top of the filter head. That's where the check valves would be, I think... but basically I went through the same nonsense last summer with a TS90. A new lift pump cured it. I'm not saying there isn't a leak somewhere between the water separator and the tank... but if there was it's more than likely you would never get prime.
