8 and 25 miles 2 JD, the one 8 miles is long gone, 1 IH gone too.
South AC, Ford, IH and JD about 35 miles, only JD remains. The AC dealer was AGCO for a time but it closed about 5 years ago now.
Southwest IH and JD, about 30 miles, now JD and CaseIH (both chain owned now)
West, 8 miles and 25 miles Ford both gone, at the 25 mile mark also AC, Case JD and IH. AC is gone and CaseIH (chain Titan) took over IH Case. The JD dealer is now chain too (RDO).
MF was never big here. There was a MM dealer about 25 miles north a long time back too.
The 80's is what killed it. Area went from 100's of 20-30 cow dairies to a few big operators. Not enough customer base to keep em all going. Several elevators are gone now too.
