I just worked on the same tractor at the dealership last week. With R 134A, holds 3.6lbs of Freon. I have no idea what compressor you have or the tractor I worked on. My vent temp was 47F after fixing power to the clutch problem. The heater does have a ball valve already installed from factory. Its cable operated to close off the flow of coolant. Before looking into that, do what was suggested. Crimped off a coolant line. Easy way, needle nose vise grips. But put some sockets on the ends of the grips as without will cut the heater hose. Good luck.
