Can't help on this, except to comment that when we were racing stock cars I always put a Corvette sector gear into a manual gearbox to speed up the steering.
In the course of human events, I built a Dodge Duster stock car off of Chrysler's kit car blueprints for a fellow I worked with. I got to looking at the Mopar steering gearbox. The casting was completely different from GM, but both the input shaft and output shaft looked familiar. Upshot was, a Corvette manual sector gear was a perfect fit into the Mopar gearbox.
