I needed a seal-kit for the hydraulic pump on my 1960 Deere crawler. It has a Webster-Electric and not a Cessna that came later. Deere dealer did a obsolete parts-archive search and found a dealer in Georgia that had a new old-stock kit on the shelf and I am sure was glad to get rid of it. So at least in my case - Deere certainly did have a nationwide old parts search and it worked.
