Everything is paid for house, cars ect no debt. Auto insurance, medical insurance, utilities, eating out on cooking at home. That is the four big ones. From my experience it does not take as much to get buy as some think. Thin is now that I have time I pick up more on the side trading ect than before so really not taking anything from my nest egg. Retirement is really just what one makes it. We built a new smaller house at the farm and sold our home in town, less up keep and lower utilities. I don,t see how folks can say it take 60% 70% or where those figures come from. Lot would depend on what a man was making BEFORE retirement and how he wants to live afterwards. I trade trucks ever two years and we eat out about two or three times a week but we can afford it without breaking the bank.
