Bill, I'm no paint expert, but I do observe paint failures on many metal buildings in the country. I would be going to a paint store and getting their advice. We used to have a sherwin williams store in town. I went there to buy paint for galvanized metal. They sold me a good primer and paint and it worked well.
My biggest concern is mold. I've noticed mold growing on metal buildings that have been re painted. So I would seek professional help and find out if there is something to put in the paint to stop mold.

I own homes with aluminum siding and haven't had to do anything to siding in 40 years.
I've noticed the new barn siding is very shinny and no mold. Get ahead of any potential mold issues. Seek professional help. geo
