The auto collision repair industry has dealt with this since early '80,s with offshore parts/sheetmetal. Insurance industry seen it as a way to cut costs and wasn't until body shops flat refused to use the junk and educated their customers as to what THEIR insurance company was requiring us to slap on their car, that it got attention and pretty much changed. Some stuff got better and OEM prices came down because of it and most of the junk went away or got it right. Tractor rest./repair? They still know a tractor guy will just get out the welder / grinder / torches and do just what you did. Send the crap back and do just what you are doing..spread it around , not going to change until this happens more often. Business has been let to forget who's the customer....by those very customers. Food / entertainment industry is even worse.
