After you open the ad you want to reply to, click on the Craig's list "reply" button
Then since their clickable link is not working for you...
at the bottom of that box, where it says "copy and paste into your email"... their email address is already highlighted blue
- just Right-click it and select "copy" from the drop down menu that appears
- then open your email program and start a new email message
- then in the "To" box where you normally type an email address... just Right-click in that box, then from the drop-down menu that appears, select "paste"
